10/11/09 00.00 hours saw the most anticipated
release of a video game ever.
People queued outside stores waiting to be
the first to pick up their copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
The was even a 'Premiere' in London's Leicester Square,
the event, hosted by Vernon Kaye, took place in the Vue Cinema
normally reserved for the opening night of Hollywood blockbusters.
Afterwards, while people queued at nearby HMV for the midnight
release, the publisher hosted an industry bash on Baker Street,
with Dizzee Rascal taking to the stage after the countdown to midnight.
With the major supermarkets opening up for the midnight release
sales are predicted to exceed 3 million in the UK alone just in it's
first week. Asda opened 320 stores across the country at midnight
compared to 260 last year for the release of Grand Theft Auto IV
which had global sales of 16 million but experts predict that MW2
will blow that figure out of the water.

  Players of Xbox Live gaming service will be barred of service due to some modification in the game consoles. It is estimated that players of 600,000 to 1 million will be affexted. This step is taken by Microsoft because of illegally downloading from file-sharing sites is taking place.

In a statement recently Microsoft said, “All consumers should know that piracy is illegal and that modifying their Xbox 360 console violates the Xbox Live terms of use, will void their warranty and result in a ban from Xbox Live.”
